NOW SOLD 1956 JOHNNY BURNETTE and the Rock N Roll Trio Rockabilly First Canadian Pressing

Artist: Johnny Burnette and the Rock N Roll Trio, Title: Johnny Burnette and the Rock N Roll Trio, Label: Coral Records CRL 57080, Matrix #:MG5033T2, MG5032T2, Both Sides also have 1 PS on them as well, Year of Release:1956, Grading Method: Play, and Visual,, Goldmine Grade : Vinyl: G, :Cover: G, Notes: In terms of Rockabilly this is bedrock baby. Johnny Burnette and the Rock N Roll Trio first self titled released in 1956. This one is the First Press Canadian release on Coral records Canada. This record was way ahead of its time, which may explain its rarity. Hard driving, twangy guitars and strong, at times almost frantic vocal delivery. This copy does play though without skips or jumps, but it does have surface noise on most of the tracks. Visually it does have many light scratches and the surface is dull in appearance in many spots, it has been well played over its 60 year life. The cover has some creases, areas of discoloration, paper loss and evidence of old tape being used on it at one time or another. The seams have split completely, but have been repaired very well. Whoever did it did a decent job, using what appears to be a strong archival paper tape on the inside, which is holding the covers together and probably much stronger than the original. There is also remnant of someone’s name written on the front. The label has various wear and evidence of an old address label once being attached to it, and a name written on one side. This is a true rarity. The condition is admittedly not the best, but its not often you get a chance to own a true first pressing of this gem, in any condition. Price $NOW SOLD

Vinyl is graded according to the Goldmine Standard and we do strive to give an accurate description, indicating if it have been visually graded or play graded. GOLDMINE GRADING SCALE

SS (Still Sealed) New record with original shrink wrap/packaging.

M (Mint) The record is perfect but not sealed anymore. / The sleeve is like new but not not sealed anymore.

NM (Near Mint) A very clean record. Near mint condition except for slight superficial scuffs. Played only a couple times, at most. / Sleeves with this rating may have small defects but will not have significant creases or splits.

EX (Excellent) Vinyl has only a couple minor surface scuffs, but no scratches. / Label has very slight evidence of wear, no writing and sharp coloring. Jacket has no seam splits, no creases, very minor chipping at edges/corners, very minor ring-wear, no writing.

VG+ (Very Good Plus) Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. No serious play issues. A well-cared-for-record. / Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but will not be split. May have chipping at edges or bumped corners, moderate ring wear, little to no writing. May have promo hole, slot or cut-out corner. (A grade that will satisfy most collectors.)

VG (Very Good) A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise but the record is still a decent copy. / Jacket may have seam split and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners with some writing, ring wear.

G (Good) Vinyl has lots of wear, skips and scratches are certain. Deeper scuffs are present. A record that has seen better days. / Jacket may have seam split and/or chipping at edges or bumped corners with writing, ring wear. Not a cover you would want to frame.

F (Fair) Vinyl Is ready for trash with skips, repeats, warping, and/or deep scratches, but may be a good album to buy to fill a need until a better copy is found. / Jacket has large splits and/or major chipping at edges and corners, water damage/stains, or major writing, or heavy ring wear.
